                                       United States African Development Foundation (USADF)

The USADF is an independent United States Federal agency that was founded to give technical and financial support to enterprises in African countries. The grants offered by the foundation can get to $250,000 for agriculture, energy, operational assistance, youth-led enterprises and so much more.

These grants are, especially, designed to benefit the most underserved groups in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The USADF offers grants of up to $250,000 for operational assistance, enterprise expansion, and market linkage to early-stage agriculture, energy, and youth-led enterprises that benefit under-served communities in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a special focus on youth and women. The Tony Elumelu Foundation

The Tony Elumelu Foundation is a foundation geared towards supporting entrepreneurship all across the African continent, in order to catalyze economic growth, create more jobs, and drive towards poverty eradication. Every year, the TEF launches a grant and mentorship programme open to all African entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs get a chance to be rewarded a grant of $5000. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Grants

The BMGF was established in the year 2000 to improve and support life’s quality worldwide, with particular attention in Africa. As the name suggests, this foundation was established by Billionaire, Bill Gates, and his now ex-wife, Melinda Gates.

Its focus is mainly on humanity, but there are also Agriculture grants. Available grants are updated regularly on the BMGF website and you can check it out here to look out for grants that may be open to you.

African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF)

The AWDF is a foundation geared towards supporting women locally and regionally through the support of women empowerment ideas, women organizations, and women’s rights movements. The foundation has a particular focus on African women, so if you have a small business or organization that is passionate about empowering women, then the grants offered by AWDF are for you. Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF)

The AECF is an organization that specializes in stimulating growth in the African private sector. The organization drives home its mission by offering grants to businesses and entrepreneurs all across Africa. Funds are donated by a host of international partners like the Canadian government, the Australian government, and others.
